Open day fun at Exeter vet practice

A top Devon primary care vet practice is throwing open its doors for one day only so pet owners can meet the team and view its first-class facilities.

The fun-packed afternoon takes place at Linnaeus-owned City Vets’ Heavitree Hospital on Saturday, June 17, between 2pm and 5pm, and will see plenty of activities on offer, plus a starring role by Guide Dogs.

There will also be the opportunity to tour the practice’s recently completed £350,000 extension and see its new £125,000 state-of-the-art CT scanner in action.

Heritage Open Day offers chance to learn about printed words and images

Double Elephant Print Workshop, one of Exeter’s leading community arts organisations, is opening the doors to its two professional artist studios for a Heritage Open Day later this month. It will include studio tours, printmaking demonstrations and the chance to have a go yourself.

The event takes place on Saturday 11th September 11am - 3pm. Visitors will be able to try out traditional printmaking skills as a part of the Heritage Open Days event running across the country from 10 - 19 September.

Members of the public can get an exclusive insight into hospital life at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital this September at its open day.
