Mince pies for your 'elf!

Ottery coffee shop Tickety-Boo has pledged to raise more funds for its chosen charity Exeter Leukaemia Fund with a special ‘mince pie week’.

From Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 December, the coffee shop team will donate the price of a mince pie to ELF for each one bought by a customer. That’s £1.50 per mince pie!

Tickety-Boo chef Trystan Bridgman says “All our mince pies are made in the traditional way by our talented baker Lesley.

“We’re hoping that there will be huge demand for them so we can raise a good amount to add a festive boost to our ongoing fundraising for ELF...

Santa, sleigh and reindeer come to Cofton

Devon’s favourite multi-award-winning holiday park, Cofton Country Holidays near Dawlish, is readying itself for the arrival of four very special guests on Thursday 22nd December when Father Christmas, his happy helper Elvina, and two of his most radiant reindeer come to Cofton for the afternoon.

Bringing the spirit of Christmas to Cofton whilst raising money for Children’s Hospice South West, the free to enter event will see Santa sweep in to Cofton on a sleigh drawn by Comet and Cupid at midday, ready for photos with children between 12pm and 1pm.

Getting festive in St James' Park

One of the UK’s biggest carol services is taking place in the heart of the city, St James' Park football stadium, on Monday 9 December, from 7-8pm.

The carol service, hosted by the university's Evangelical Christian Union, is set to attract over 3,000 students and members of the public to St James’ Park.

Highlights of the evening will include plenty of classic carols, mulled wine, and a talk on the Christmas message. There will also be free mince pies!

There’s even something for the more reluctant (or just tone deaf!) singers as the university's A-Capella...

Topsham Museum's popular annual Christmas Market will be held on Wednesday 14th November at 10 a.m. in Matthews Hall.

Do come with your friends and neighbours to do some early Christmas shopping and have a coffee and a chat. Stocking fillers, Christmas gifts, seasonal produce, jewellery, crafts, books and cakes.

Entry £2, which includes coffee and a mince pie!
