Summer craft exhibition: Make a Mark

The Guild’s annual summer exhibition by its Membership features handling pieces, samples, sketches and background material alongside finished craft work. It aims to reveal the relationships between physical objects and the emotional journey or technical processes behind their making. The exhibition runs from 29 June - 1 September 2013.

There will be a launch party with music and buffet, 5-7pm on 28 June (£7/£10).

DIY gallery competition and free craft demos every Saturday from 29 June - 31 August.

Dunchideock Barton has this morning got out the snow plough and cleared all the roads leading to Dunchideock in readiness for our party!

We owe our thanks to the Farmer who has so kindly thought of us all. The weather forecast is also kind with heavy rain expected this afternoon, which will wash any residue snow away. The temperature is not expected to drop so there is no risk of freezing. We have ourselves made the journey and the lanes are clear.

Date set for Exeter Business Games Launch

The Exeter Business Games 2013 will be officially launched on Thursday, 31st January at an event hosted by Event Exeter at the Forum, University of Exeter. Businesses in Exeter who are interested in finding out more about the Games are invited to this free event, where organisers will give an overview of the planned games along with details of how to sign up and the opportunity to do so. Guests enjoy VIP media launch at Exeter City FC

Guests from businesses across the city were invited to a VIP media launch event for The Exeter Daily.

Among those who attended were Chris Bentley and John Wood from the Exeter Chiefs commercial team, Exeter city centre manager John Harvey and representatives from Exeter University and The Exeter Chamber of Commerce.

TED, editorial director Marc Astley explained the concept behind the website and editor Natalie Vizard gave a live demonstration of how easy it is for users to self publish.
