Vintage wedding weekend at Killerton

Blue Fizz Events is super-excited to announce a fabulous two-day vintage wedding fair at Devon’s Killerton House, a beautiful National Trust property near Exeter, and once again in partnership with Crikey it’s Vintage.

On Saturday and Sunday June 21-22, from 10.30am – 6pm the Blue Fizz traditional canvas style pole tent will house a stunning selection of vintage inspired wedding suppliers for a two day extravaganza. The weekend promises to be vibrant, visual and very vintage – a fabulous day out, and a treat for any bride and groom.

A two day vintage wedding fair will take place at Killerton House on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June.

The event, organised by Blue Fizz Events, will feature clothing and products from a whole host of vintage inspired wedding suppliers.

The wedding fair will take place over the weekend, beginning at 10.30am and finishing at 6.00pm.

Killerton sparkles after dark

Every Friday and Saturday throughout December, visitors to Killerton house and parkland can enjoy the festive spirit and colourful light displays.

Three majestic 20ft Christmas trees greet visitors at the entrance to the house, while the parkland has a magical feel as spectacular coloured lights create beautiful shapes and shadows among the trees. Visitors familiar with Killerton’s paths, will see green, red and purple lights cast onto historic Sweet Chestnut trees, as well as willow reindeer and other estate landmarks.

Killerton House to hold athletics event

The Killerton House estate, near Exeter, has been named as the new venue for the 2014 England Athletics South West Club and Cross Country Championships.

On Sunday 5 January, over 700 athletes will arrive at Killerton house to compete in the Championship. Runners clubs from 7 counties will take on a challenging course as part of the region’s largest cross country event.

The course is spilt into varying distances to cater for the wide age range of athletes competing.

The quiet and peaceful grounds of Killerton House were transformed into a rocking retro feast on 22 and 23 June. Despite the less than cheerful weather over the weekend there were lots of reasons to smile at the festival, with over 90 stalls of vintage and retro fashion, crafts, homeware, antiques and similar paraphernalia, there was certainly something to cater for everybody’s vintage tastes.

Keep Calm and Carry On!

Broadclyst Primary School and Killerton have partnered up once again to put on a show stopping performance of Keep Calm and Carry On! on the 13 and 14 June at 1.30pm and 4pm.

A play set in the days following the Exeter Blitz, Keep Calm and Carry On will explore life as an evacuee at Killerton House. The production will take place as a series of sketches performed by the year 5 class and will take place around Killerton's house and garden.
