Investigation work is being carried out at Exmouth’s Warren View Sports Ground by East Devon’s contractor Geotechnics Limited over the next few weeks to give reassurance that the site is suitable for all-weather pitches and other multi-sport facilities.

East Devon District Council is working with the Devon-based charity Exeter CITY Community Trust to develop a pioneering sports hub at the Ground, which is one of a number of sports and recreation sites owned and protected by the council in Exmouth and across the district.

New street art improves look of community hub

Three former offenders have helped to brighten up a previously dull car park at a community hub in Exeter.

The group, who are all being supported by Dorset, Devon and Cornwall Community Rehabilitation Company (DDC CRC) as part of their sentences, have taken part in a street art course as they look to pick up new skills. New student accommodation hub for Exeter completed

A new £8 million student housing development in Exeter is gearing up for the next intake of students after local contractors Midas Construction finished the 159 room residence this month ahead of the new academic year starting in September. Devon’s small businesses will receive a welcome boost as Devon County Council announces plans to expand the county’s network of flexible working spaces.

Renewable energy group to set up wood fuel hub

The South Devon Coastal Renewable Energy Network (SDCREN) has secured funding from the Regen SW Community Energy Accelerator Devon County Council fund.

The funding will help investigate and initiate the first building blocks of a local wood fuel hub where local farmers, land owners and the community can work together to source affordable wood fuel, boost the local economy and create employment.
