A book about climate change science and denial has been shortlisted for the Royal Society Science Book Prize.
Hot Air – by Professor Peter Stott, of the University of Exeter and the Met Office – is one of six titles up for the award, which celebrates the best popular science writing from across the globe .

The annual Tiverton Balloon and Music Festival has confirmed that it will be returning this summer for the fourth consecutive year
The festival will be raising funds for two very special local charities: Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Children’s Hospice South West and will take place on Friday, Saturdy and Sunday 11, 12 and 13 July July 2014 at the combined Petroc and Tiverton High School Campus.

Returning bigger and better for 2013 this year's Balloon Festival features a packed programme of events.
There will be over 35 musical acts, a comedy stage (on Friday night), Taste of the West food pavilion, Westcountry ales and cider, craft ctalls, vintage aircraft displays, mountain bike stunt teams, archery, falconry, fire and light shows, a planetarium, workshops and of course, Mass Ascents featuring a whole host of colourful Hot Air Balloons including Special Shapes and lots more.
