More than 90 businesses have been given some stark facts about the possibility of cyber attacks on their computer systems. Exeter businesses are being offered the chance to prepare themselves for the escalating war against cyber crime.

A newly-formed Scout group in Cranbrook has been handed a £1,000 boost towards a storage container.

Persimmon Homes South West has made the donation to 1st Cranbrook Scout Group. The group was formed to serve the new Devon town and already has a Beaver colony, a Cub pack and a Scout troop. The group currently rents its meeting venues from the local community and council but has nowhere to store activity or camping equipment. Leaders are raising funds for a small shipping container. Anyone with experience of the RD&E’s cancer services is being invited to help boost public and patient membership of a joint group set up by the Trust.

The Trust has set up the Exeter Cancer User Group as part of its commitment to continuously improve its cancer services.

The Association for Independent Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians (AIO) held the first of a series of local meetings for Independent optical professionals in Bath.

Both members and non-members of AIO gathered together at Restaurant Martini to establish a local forum for Independent practitioners to discuss the issues that are foremost in their minds.
