French tourism bosses tour Devon's cycle trails

French tourism chiefs enjoyed a Red Coat Tour in Exeter as part of a tour of Devon to see how the county is successfully promoting cycling tourism.

The group of 32 business people were given a tour of some of the county’s cycle trails in a visit arranged through the Cycle West project, which has helped connect cycle routes in Devon and South West England with Brittany, and Normandy.

French campaigners attempt to save European food aid programme

A group of French organisations launched an online campaign on Monday in an attempt to save the European food aid programme for the most deprived (PEAD), which is expected to end in 2013. The campaign encourages netizens to film themselves with empty plates and post the videos on the internet.
