It often takes a leap of faith to start your own business. Even more so if you’re coming from a professional career into an industry where you’re still learning the ropes.

That’s exactly what Matthew Dunne did when he left South West law firm Foot Anstey and started up Local Vets. Now he’s about to take on his next big challenge: raising money on Crowdcube.

Exeter Cookery School moves a step closer

Real Estate specialists at Foot Anstey have advised on the new site of the Exeter Cookery School on Exeter's historic Quayside.

Senior Associate Nicholas Burt and Associate Rebecca Haynes advised the landlord and developer EIC (Exeter) Limited on the transaction which will bring much needed regeneration to the area. Exeter Cookery School owners are planning a contemporary New York loft-style interior coupled with the latest kitchen equipment which is due to be completed and operational by the summer.

Managing Partner of premier law firm Foot Anstey has been named by the industry magazine The Lawyer in its annual 'Hot 100', a Who's Who list of people who have made a difference to the legal industry over the past twelve months.

Sixth form students graduate from Pathways to Law

A group of high achieving sixth form students from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, have graduated from a national project which aims to raise aspirations and the confidence of young people to pursue a career in law.

Twenty six students from the region participated in the University of Exeter strand of the Pathways to Law programme. Exeter Art Show announces new sponsors

Organisers of the Exeter Art Show, which takes place on 4 and 5 July, are pleased to announce that Hawksmoor Investment Management has agreed sponsorship of the West Country’s largest exhibition.

Hosted at the Maynard School in the centre of Exeter, the Show now boasts in excess of 100 artists and two sponsors, with more being welcomed.
