A new exhibition by two Dartmoor based artists - Dave Peake and Rosemary Bonney - has opened at the National Park Visitor Centre in Princetown focusing on the influence of water on the Dartmoor landscape as well as providing a glimpse of what lies beneath!

Dave Peake has been fascinated by the underwater world for most of his life and began his exploration of this alien environment at the age of fifteen, diving and snorkelling in the sea in the Plymouth area. Staff at Shaldon Wildlife Trust are excited to be seeing Harley, the Margay kitten exploring his outside enclosure. Harley has been snuggled up in his heated den area with mum Josefien for the past few months as he would be in the wild.

Margay are also known as the Tree Ocelot; they have flexible ankles allowing them to run head first down trees. One of only 3 species known to do this! Harley is having great fun learning all the tricks of becoming an independent cat!

In the wild Margay have a very varied diet including small mammals, birds, primates, eggs and frogs!...

The South West Outdoor Festival (SWOF), a carnival of outdoor activity and entertainment, is back for a third year. An accountant from Exeter accountants Old Mill is celebrating after winning an award for achieving top marks in one of her Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) exams despite missing some of the course due to illness.

Olympian and TV personality Sharron Davies will officially cut the ribbon on a new £10 million water park at Haulfryn’s Finlake resort in Devon in February. Council to undertake annual cliff inspections across district

Detailed inspections will be carried out week commencing 19 February at Budleigh Salterton, Beer East Beach, Sidmouth Connaught Gardens and Seaton West Walk

Detailed inspections of the cliffs at Seaton, Beer, Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton are due to be carried out by East Devon District Council between 19 February and 27 February 2018 – weather depending.

It's that time of year again! Our annual beer festival gets bigger and better every year, and 2018 in no exception.

We've got 22 real ales on offer (as well as a couple of ciders and a ginger beer), a fantastic line-up of live music all day and of course some tasty hot and cold food to soak it all up. Police warning after spate of catalytic converter thefts

Police have issued a warning to members of the public to be vigilant following a series of thefts of catalytic convertors from motor vehicles in Torquay, Newton Abbot and Totnes.

Between Saturday 3 February and Monday 5 February 2018, there were three catalytic converter thefts in Devon.

The converters were stolen whilst vehicles were parked on the street outside the owner’s homes and also from vehicles parked on industrial estates. The vehicles being targeted are mainly Honda Accords.

£1.5m funding boost for grassroots football

Aspiring grassroots footballers from two underrepresented groups will soon have the opportunity to play in more teams thanks to the Grow the Game programme, a £1.5m investment by The FA.
