£72m benefit to the South West as Regional Growth Fund projects selected

The Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has announced today who the recipients are in the third round of handouts from the Regional Growth Fund, which replaced the regional development agencies. As part of a £72 million pound package earmarked for the South West, two projects were chosen from Plymouth: Plessey Semiconductors Limited and a further Plymouth University scheme, which redistributes funds to local small and medium-sized businesses.
