Peter Shaffer's Amadeus tells the story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his relationship with court composer Salieri – the only man in Vienna who recognises Mozart's true genius and his own mediocrity.

Punctuated by Mozart's greatest compositions, Salieri recounts how he fought to understand why genius is gifted to some of us, and not to others.

Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the world’s most prestigious annual wildlife photography competition. It is currently in its 47th year and is open to amateur and professional photographers alike.

The event runs until 2 June 2013.

Come along to Otterton Mill's next milling day

Water power is used to produce our signature stoneground wholemeal flour, continuing in a 1,000-year old tradition. Millers are very happy to explain the milling process to you and answer any questions.

We normally mill in two sessions: from 11am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 3pm. Access to the Mill is free, although we welcome voluntary donations to the Mill's ongoing upkeep and maintenance (donation boxes are sited by the milling areas).

Songwriter Huw and multi-instrumentalist Maartin first met on a Fairport Convention tour bus in 1995. Huw went on to conquer the British folk scene with singing partner Tony Williams until calling it a day in 2002, since when he's been a regular BBC Radio 4 contributor.

Chartered Accountants announce further exam success

Southernhay-based Chartered Accountants Haines Watts, specialising in the owner managed business sector, announce that Fern Stephens, a member of the audit and accounts department, is now a fully qualified Chartered Accountant having passed her exams. This success follows the triple celebration in 2012 when three other members of the firm, Andy Chant, Emma Banfield and Ryan Lewis passed their individual accountancy exams in various areas of the business.

The Fox & Hounds Country Hotel in Eggesford is holding a wedding fayre on Sunday 20th January.
