An urgent report into the economic effects of last year’s severe storms on Devon’s transport network has been ordered by county council leader John Hart.

Overnight closures are planned on the A30 westbound from Daisymount Junction to the junction of the A30/C832 near M5 Junction 29 later this month.
The closures will be over five consecutive nights from Monday 21 to Friday 25 January from 8pm to 6am to enable overhead gantry signs to be replaced over the westbound A30.
During the closure of the A30 westbound, the A30 Daisymount Junction westbound on-slip will also be closed as well as the Airport Junction westbound on-slip.

Officers are investigating an attempted robbery on a 14-year-old boy in Seaton.
The Seaton schoolboy was walking along Valley View on 3 January when he was approached from behind by a man who grabbed him by the jumper and tried to snatch his iPhone.
The phone fell to the ground and the offender made off empty-handed towards the fire station.
