Miracle Theatre has been touring innovative comic theatre across the UK since 1979. Renowned for their surreal and comic re-workings of well-known and loved stories, Miracle’s inventive approach to Frankenstein! promises to tickle funny bones and have audiences jumping out of their seats!

Originally a Victorian novel, famously a black and white movie starring Boris Karloff and the inspiration for the 70’s musical, The Rocky Horror Picture Show , Miracle presents its Frankenstein! as a musical - performed by the Ffitch Repertory Players in 1947.

From Devon with Love is a showcase of all kinds of work being made right on our doorstep - two weeks of locally made theatre featuring dance, epic poems, work-in-progress shows and politically charged pieces.

There will be local food and produce on show in the bar and lots of chances to meet the people who are making Devon such an exciting place to make and see theatre.

Second year student, Ryan Mell, will be opening up his dream restaurant “The Salty Pigeon” on 22nd January 2013, at 29 Magdalen Road, Exeter.

14-year-old boy shaken by attempted robbery in Seaton

Officers are investigating an attempted robbery on a 14-year-old boy in Seaton.

The Seaton schoolboy was walking along Valley View on 3 January when he was approached from behind by a man who grabbed him by the jumper and tried to snatch his iPhone.

The phone fell to the ground and the offender made off empty-handed towards the fire station.

The boy was left very shaken by the incident which happened around 5.35pm and the phone was damaged.

Local support needed for charity jazz concert

A man from Exeter is hoping to organise a jazz concert in aid of Hospiscare but is in need of funding from local businesses.

Wayne Hill has been inspired to organise this charity event after losing family and friends to cancer. He needs local businesses in Exeter to help support this event by funding for jazz bands and singers, technicians and tickets.

He is hoping to run the event in the Voodoo Lounge at the Phoenix Art Centre, on 10th August 2013.

Hospiscare is a charity situated in Devon, which support and care for patients with terminal illnesses.
