As part of TOPOS, an ongoing project by award-winning Exeter-based artist Volkhardt Müller to make and showcase a series of brand new works in response to the city and its populace, the TS Eliot-nominated poet Sean Borodale is artist-in-residence for a period of five days.

From 30 June to 4 July, Sean and Volkhardt will enter into a dialogue to produce a series of pamphlets in response to the city. The work will involve the staging of theatrical moments in the TOPOS space and it will be periodically open to the public – with the option to spectate or to participate.

Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter

Granny Eyeball doesn’t like people. Generally speaking, people don’t like her back.

(Actually, they’re not too keen on her front, sides or top either... and definitely not her bottom!)

Locked away in a ramshackle farmhouse on the outskirts of Ballskirk Joanna Gormley dreams of a better life, free from the clutches of her wicked guardian - the dreaded Granny Eyeball.

Wandering Tiger presents a riotous, anarchic show that is guaranteed to appeal to the whole family, complete with singing dinner ladies and white knuckle car chases.

Have your say on Devon division boundaries

Time is running out for local people to tell the independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England what they think of proposals for new county division boundaries across Devon.

The public consultation closes on 6 July 2015.

The Commission’s draft recommendations propose that Devon County Council should have 60 county councillors in the future, two fewer than the current arrangements. The proposals mean those councillors would represent 56 single-member electoral divisions and two two-member electoral divisions across the county.

Public urged to support Fairer Funding bid

Devon and Cornwall’s Police and Crime Commissioner is asking the public to help him secure more money to protect the front line service. Tony Hogg began his ‘Fair Funding’ campaign last week to highlight how the force is unfairly treated, compared to others in the UK. Unique challenges in Devon and Cornwall, such as the impact of millions of summer visitors, are not recognised by the Government, and while it is currently reviewing this formula, Mr Hogg wants to send a timely, and very clear, message from the South West to Home Secretary Theresa May. Mr Hogg is today (Thurs 2 July)...
