Another popular event being held at The Cat & Fiddle Inn, Sidmouth Road, Clyst St Mary. Doors open at 7pm with the first race starting at 7.30pm prompt.

Exeter Axhayes adoption centre is a local cat re-homing centre run by Cats Protection the UK's leading cat welfare charity.
The centre is holding a quiz night at Exeter Saracens RFC on 3rd July 2015 to help raise funds for the centre. The centre looks after local homeless cats until they are found a new home. Their policy is never to put a healthy cat asleep therefore sometimes a cat can be looked after for quite some time.

Pop along, bring the family and friends, meet the cats and kittens and have a cuppa and some homemade cake.
All funds goes direct to helping local cats and kittens.
Exeter Axhayes adoption centre has around 150 cats and kittens in their care at the moment and more waiting to come in.
They are in need of volunteers to help out at the centre. They have various roles available, from cat socialisers, to cat care, cleaning,gardeners, DIY to fundraising. You can commit to as much or as little as you like, even on an adhoc basis helping out at events, if that is what suits you.
There are many ways to volunteer at Axhayes, whatever your skills and interests, and however much time you have to give, including socialising nervous cats, cleaning...

Their Friends of Group are a great bunch of people who organise and run fund-raising events and raise vital funds for the Centre. On Friday 17th October 2014 the Friends of Axhayes group held a charity pamper evening at the Cat & Fiddle Inn, Clyst St Mary, Nr Exeter. The doors opened at 6.45pm and treatments started at 7pm. Many local businesses provided short treatments such as mini facials, file and paint, hand & foot massages etc to help raise funds for Exeter Axhayes Cats Protection adoption centre. It became clear from the outset that the evening was going to be popular as soon the queue for booking treatments was quite long.
