Exeter Walk to beat blood cancer

Exeter resident and blood cancer patient Jamie Lynde (pictured in the middle) is organising the third annual Exeter Walk for blood cancer charity Bloodwise.

The fundraising walk, which starts at the Exeter Quay and follows the Exe Estuary Trail, will take place on Saturday 24th September this year. The family friendly event, which offers a choice of 8.6 or 12 mile routes, is open to all and members of the public are invited to sign up.

Our Health and the Environment are arguably the two most important watchwords in the modern world, even more so for our children and the generations to come.

Terminal illness and disease in children is growing at an astonishing rate, the causes of which can be laid at the door of environmental pollution and poor health education.

This event brings together a group of guest speakers that shows us a way forward, while at the same time raising money for terminally ill, underprivileged & disabled children in the UK and overseas.
