Rob Baxter believes the incentive of a home quarter-final can act as the ideal motivation for his Exeter Chiefs side ahead of their final Pool Two fixture against Bayonne in this season's European Challenge Cup (5.30pm) today.
Having already bagged themselves a last eight spot courtesy of last weekend's 33-24 win at Connacht, the Chiefs will be looking to put the gloss on what has been an impressive European campaign to date. Standing in their way, however, are their Top 14 rivals, who despite not being able to advance to the latter stages, will themselves be looking to finish on a...

The study, published yeseterday in the journal Ecology Letters, reveals a decrease of 421 million individual birds over 30 years. Around 90 percent of these losses were from the 36 most common and widespread species, including house sparrows, skylarks, grey...

First half tries from Will Chudley, Henry Slade and Damian Welch set them on course for victory before man-of-the-match Dave Ewers and Ben White got in on the act during the second period.
Irish fly-half Gareth Steenson plundered four of...

Beginning a new venture used to mean applying for funding or getting a loan from the bank, but Ian Clifford from Sidmouth took a gamble on a new way of raising money for a new online venture called YouRock. He decided to try crowd-funding, a method of pitching an idea to the internet and gathering multiple pledges of support.
Ian said, “Asking people on the internet to back your idea is a very rewarding way of raising money for your project. You know that they will only part with hard earned money if they see real merit in what you are trying to do”. In August local papers ran...
