The Donkey Sanctuary donates 3,000 Easter Eggs to Sidmouth Foodbank

The Donkey Sanctuary has donated 3,000 packs of small chocolate Easter Eggs to the Sid Valley Food Bank in Sidmouth. The donated eggs will now be given to patients and staff at Sidmouth Hospital, local families who are supported by the Food Bank and key workers throughout the community.

Due to The Donkey Sanctuary Sidmouth being closed to visitors because of the coronaviruses outbreak, the animal welfare charity was left with thousands of eggs that would have been given away to visitors over the Easter weekend. Motorbiking Easter bunnies' special delivery

A motorbike ride with a special chocolatey difference took place on Easter Sunday this year with riders delivering chocolate Easter eggs to youngsters with life-limiting illnesses at Little Bridge House, Children’s Hospice South West.

There were an amazing 58 motorbikes including a few scooters, a couple of trikes and even a motorbike with a trailer containing a couple of dogs enjoying a beautiful day out!

The bikers from all around Devon met at Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter and went on a scenic ride to Little Bridge House, South West Children's Hospice near Bideford....

A hand-crafted chocolate ostrich egg is the prize on offer at Paignton Zoo this Easter.

Everyone who completes the Easter egg trail around the Zoo over the weekend of Good Friday 3rd April to Easter Monday 6th April will be entered into a draw to win a cuddly toy bunny and a chocolate egg the size of an ostrich egg!

Our resident dragon Dolbury has been busy hiding dragon eggs around the outdoors. We're calling on Eggsplorers to help us find them all. Keep your eyes peeled as you run through towering trees, skip along crunchy gravel paths and stop off to sniff the spring blooms. Along the way, escape the beaten track to explore hidden gems like the bear's hut, ice house and chapel. When you've found them all and solved Dolbury's riddle, enjoy your tasty Cadbury chocolate Egghead prize.

Exe Egg Chase

A special Easter egg hunt inspired by Rugby World Cup 2015 kicks off along the Exe Estuary Trail this spring.

The Exe Egg Chase will run during the Easter holidays, starting on Saturday March 28 and running through to Sunday April 12.

People taking part have to find small, Rugby-ball shaped chocolate eggs which are hidden at a number of businesses along the estuary trail route including, Saddles & Paddles, Toby Buckland Plant Centre, Stuart Line Cruises, Darts Farm, the Salutation Inn and Double Locks.
