Mental health will be the focus at Exeter City’s specially designated One Game One Community match at home to Stevenage on Sunday 11 October (kick off 12.15pm).

A series of initiatives will take place including at half time, the national launch of the new Mental Health Charter for Sport and Recreation as part of the celebration of World Mental Health Day. The Charter is backed by the Professional Players Association, the Sport and Recreation Alliance, Time to Change and Mind. For the second time this season, Exeter City handed the League 2 leaders their first defeat of the season.

Goals from David Wheeler and Arron Davies earned Exeter City a win at Fratton Park, and their second success over Portsmouth in September.

Grecians extend Clinton contract

Exeter City have confirmed that striker Clinton Morrison's contract has been extended beyond its initial one-month period.

After news of his return to the Grecians' squad was exclusively revealed in this season's first issue of match-day programme The Grecian, an agreement has been reached that will see Morrison remain at St James Park.

Community tournament attracts players from across the globe

Exeter City Football Club have once again celebrated diversity in the local community by holding a football tournament that attracted players from across the globe, yesterday (Sunday 26 July). Torquay based Crispy Pigs beat Not a Kalou from Ipplepen 2-1 in a closely fought final. Ashley Dewdney scored both goals for the winners as they came from behind to edge victory. ECFC launches Former Players Association

Exeter City and the Supporters’ Trust launched the Club's ‘Former Players Association’ at the pre-season friendly against Fluminense U19s on Monday 20 July.

The initiative was one of the first priorities for the new Exeter History Group with the support of the University of Exeter.

Prior to the match all former players were invited to the get-together in the Apple Suite to catch up with past team-mates and other former players.

Walking footballers set for regional finals

Two teams from Exeter City are getting ready to compete in the South West regional round of the Football League Trust's national walking football tournament.

The event is being held on Friday 26 June in the Sports Hall at the University of Exeter from 7-9pm.

They will be joined in the round-robin competition by teams from Plymouth Argyle, Swindon, Bristol City and Portsmouth and the top two teams will go through to the national finals, which will be held at St George's Park - the FA's national football centre - on July 6.

Charity wills scheme launches at Exeter City

Devon law firm Kitsons has teamed up with Exeter City Football Club to offer supporters of Exeter City the opportunity to make or update their Will, in return for a donation to the Club’s charity arm, Football in the Community.

Through the scheme, for every new will completed by the Private Client team at Kitsons Solicitors in Exeter, the firm will donate a proportion of its fees for those wills to the Football in the Community Charity.

City supporter donates scrapbooks to Trust History Project

The Exeter City FC Supporters’ Trust was delighted to receive a collection of scrapbooks, going back to the 1950s, about Exeter City.

The donation came from long time supporter Martin Copleston, who handed over three large bundles of scrapbooks to ensure they were saved for future generations to look at.

Martin started keeping scrapbooks in 1957/8 and still rates our 1958/9 team, which just missed out on promotion, as the best Exeter side he has seen.

The Trust is currently developing its history work with plans for a new Exeter City History Group in the pipeline....

City's Matt Grimes signs for Swansea City

Exeter City midfielder Matt Grimes has completed a transfer to Barclays Premier League side Swansea City.

The 19-year-old moves for an undisclosed but substantial transfer fee, which makes him comfortably the record sale in Exeter City’s history.

Exminster-born Grimes, who first joined club’s the Academy system at the Cat & Fiddle at the age of 10, was offered a professional contract in the summer of 2013 after working his way through the age-groups.
