Freemasons’ Hall has announced its first Organ Concert of 2021, which will take place on 30 March, at 7pm. The event, being held virtually, will showcase the magnificent Willis pipe Organ, which resides in the Grand Temple of Freemasons' Hall in London, an art deco masterpiece completed in 1933. The concert is to be given by Carl Jackson, MVO, director of music at the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace. A major step to boost Devon's economy after lockdown is being taken by the county council and partners Exeter College.

A new academy for future skills will be created to offer training for high-tech jobs in engineering, digital, construction and clean growth.

Devon County Council has agreed to purchase the vacant former Flybe Training Academy at Exeter Airport which closed when the airline went into administration. The deal will see Exeter College, the city’s Ofsted outstanding education provider, run the new academy.

Digital radio listeners in Cornwall and Devon are being urged to retune their DAB digital radios to receive 19 further radio stations on DAB digital radio for the time, following the launch of five new transmitters serving the two counties.
