On Saturday 23rd April, Buckfast Abbey, in South Devon, will host the world-renowned choir of Westminster Cathedral for a concert of choral and organ music for Eastertide. With Easter fast approaching, Devon’s NHS leaders are calling on people to be prepared ahead of the bank holidays and the two-week school holiday period.

New Exeter builders merchant to bring community and charity boost

One of the UK’s leading builders merchants will bring a £3,000 boost for charities and community groups when it opens a new branch in Exeter later this month.

Latest figures show that Devon is home to more than 60,000 companies for the very first time – highlighting its popularity as a place to do business.

There are now 60,428 businesses registered in the county according to company secretarial software specialists Inform Direct, based on statistics from Companies House and the Office for National Statistics.

Oil theft warning for South West homeowners as prices soar

Rural residents with oil storage tanks are being warned to check their security amidst increased fears that thieves could target them.
