Our concert on Thursday March 12th at 7.30 p.m. in Exeter Cathedral features one of Poulenc’s most celebrated works, “Gloria” followed by a journey into a world of dreams with Elgar’s “The Music Makers”.

The Exeter Philharmonic Choir conducted by Andrew Millington will be joined by The Sinfonietta.

REVIEW: Lunchtime recital in Exeter Cathedral Chapter House

Wow! What a Wonderful day! The sun shone & a gentle breeze brought summery crowds to relax on the Cathedral Green.

The doors of the Chapter House were thrown open and soaring strains of music from within invited inspection by curious sun worshippers.

The flute and the harp have long been recognised by composers as a sublime combination with a strong visual and aural impact. So Concerts in the West is delighted to be offering West Country audiences a superb example of just such a partnership in the shape of Flautist Katherine Bicknell and concert harpist Keziah Thomas, who have been playing together since 1998 as the Aoyama Duo.
