Festive Artisan Fair returns to Escot House

Christmas shoppers looking for unique and unusual gifts will find inspiration at the Escot House Artisan Fair on Saturday, November 23.

This is just the second year for the event, which debuted last year and was declared a resounding success by shoppers and traders alike.

The event is organised by Helen Bottrill of The Creative Business Network, whose work encourages artisans and crafters in the region. She said:

BHF appeal for donations of unwanted Christmas gifts

With the Christmas season over, many will have received unsuitable or unwanted gifts. Instead of throwing them away or leaving them unused, the British Heart Foundation (BHF) is urging the public to donate their unwanted gifts to any of the 730 BHF shops nationwide and help raise vital funds for its life-saving heart research.

St Michael & All Angels Church in St David's, the church with the tallest spire in Exeter, home to peregrine falcons, is hosting An Unusually Good Book Sale on Saturday 26th November from 11am to 3pm in aid of the St David's Neighbourhood fund and the St Michael's Redecoration fund.
