11-year-old Izzy completes an epic 20-mile walk for local charity

Young philanthropist Izzy Rutter, an 11-year-old from Exeter, recently accomplished an impressive 20-mile charity walk to raise money for InFocus Charity, based in Exeter.

InFocus Charity is dedicated to supporting young individuals with vision impairment and complex needs.

On 16th September 2023, Izzy embarked on her challenging journey, covering a 20-mile route from Exeter to Dawlish Warren and back, all in pursuit of her New Year resolution to raise £100 for a local charity.

During her walk, she went the extra mile, quite literally, by walking one of those miles...

The date of this years’ Exeter Chiefs Foundation Smile A Mile Charity Walk has been confirmed as Saturday, 21st September 2019.

Come and join us in walking 10 miles in aid of the Foundation in a circular route which starts and finishes at Sandy Park, and takes in a flat, scenic route through the River Exe Valley.

The event will combine both the fundraising walk with watching the Exeter Chiefs V Bath Rugby Premiership Cup Game at Sandy Park.

Saturday 6 July will be a BIG day in Exmouth for local charity Hospiscare . Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare will be holding their Family Fun Day at Manor Gardens from 10am – 4pm with live entertainment and lots of fun activities. Having had a great day with the whole family it will then be time for the mums, nans and aunties to don their pink tutus and bunny ears (not compulsory) and head on down to The Maer for either the Twilight Walk or 5K Fizz Run in aid of Hospiscare.

A team of 7 women from Bradley Estate Agents in Exmouth have signed up for this year’s Twilight Walk on the 9th July.

The 5 or 10 mile sponsored walk round Exmouth is being held to raise much needed funds for local charity Hospiscare.

Three mountains in three countries in 24 hours – that’s the challenge facing animal staff from two local zoos.

David Jones Embarks On A Charity Walk Of A Lifetime

Courageous David Jones, co-owner of Manna from Devon Cooking School, will be setting off on Sunday 16th December to walk the South West Coast Path.

David is embarking on this challenging walk, in the middle of winter, to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Exeter Chiefs are throwing their sizeable weight behind the forthcoming ‘Exeter Foundation Charity Walk’ which has been set up to support a minimum of 20 local charities and organisations.

The annual 10-mile sponsored walk, which will start and finish at Sandy Park, takes in a flat and scenic route around the River Exe Valley and is open to keen or social walkers, who are aged 12 years or over.
