Local housebuilder and Exeter College cement relationship with donation of 10,000 bricks

A local housebuilder has cemented its relationship with the next generation of construction professionals at Exeter College, thanks to a substantial donation of 10,000 bricks for education and training purposes.

The special delivery from Persimmon Homes South West was marked with an event at the College’s state-of-the-art construction facilities in the company of local apprentices and the leader of Exeter City Council, Cllr Phil Bialyk.

Bricks Finance issues new investor’s Bond

Exeter and East Devon based Bricks Finance has announced that the business has now been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The FCA is the UK’s financial regulatory body overseeing the conduct of financial firms that provide services to consumers and it regulates all conduct related to the marketing of financial products.

Bricks Finance, which made its first loan in May 2015, currently has a loan book of over £5 million and has made loan offers over its first two years of £14 million.

Foundations laid for Exeter’s new Cathedral

The first bricks have been laid as part of an ambitious project to build a new Cathedral in the centre of Exeter – out of LEGO® bricks!
