The festival culminates in a free concert on Branscombe beach by the Camborne Town Band.

The Festival is curated by Ian Rosenblatt, BBC presenter...

Canoeists help keep East Devon beach clean

On Monday 6 June members of the public along with the Axe Vale Canoe Club and East Devon District Council Countryside team enjoyed an evening’s canoeing along the coast.

The guided trip from Beer to Branscombe took in the sights of the Jurassic coast from the water. Experienced canoeists from the Axe Vale Canoe Club led the way, while East Devon's Countryside Rangers provided expert knowledge on the local wildlife.

The group stopped on the shore of Little Beach, a small cove on Beer Head, a spot only accessible by water, where they enjoyed a picnic in the evening sunshine...

It’s less than seven days to go to the biggest mass participation event the National Trust in the South West has ever organised. A highlight of the 2015 South West Coastal Festival programme, the Big Beach Picnics are a free ‘mass participation’ way of celebrating 50 years of...

Lead inspector Sharon Peel says the quality and standards of the early years’ provision at Branscombe are outstanding.

So are the effectiveness of its leadership and management, its contribution to the well-being of the children and the way it meets the needs of the range of children who attend...

Branscombe to host Big Beach Picnic

There’s nothing quite like a great British picnic by the sea. We all have fond childhood memories of days out at the seaside; that heady combination of sun, sand and sea along with a dollop of ice-cream, sandy sandwiches and hours of endless fun.

What better way to celebrate 50 years of public support for protecting our precious coastline, than by attending a Big Beach Picnic at Branscombe Beach, this is just one of 15 Big Beach Picnics taking place in the South West on Saturday 4th July 2015 [1]. The Big Beach Picnics are a key moment in our SW Coastal Festival programme, and we...
