Hands Up for Jonny Wilkinson's Right Boot

Live Wire Theatre, one of the South West’s foremost theatre companies, has announced a stellar cast for their latest show that they will be staged at The Barnfield Theatre Exeter on Friday and Saturday 16th & 17th October as part of the celebrations for The Rugby World Cup 2015.

Historic City Centre Theatre appeals for public memories to add to its free exhibition opening this October.

To celebrate 125 years since the laying of the foundation stone, the Barnfield Theatre is creating a free public exhibition of its varied and fascinating history.

The Theatre building has been used by the Exeter Literary Society, Exeter Camera club, the Rotary Club Military Club, Civil Defence, the Inland Revenue, the GPO and is rumoured to have been the site of an Army communications centre.

Playback Youth Theatre presents Ghost Train, an original musical

Calling all young actors and singers! Playback Youth Theatre is running a six-day workshop to rehearse and perform an original musical play in just one week! ‘Cloudbusting’ are a 5-piece band of musicians who are obsessed with the music of Kate Bush.

Formed in 2012 and based in Devon and Cornwall, they kicked off their 40-date tour of the UK with a special performance at The Half Moon in Putney. This is the venue where Kate last played with the KT Bush Band in 1977 before she was whisked off to stardom by EMI with the release of ‘Wuthering Heights’.

The Tommy Cooper Show

The Tommy Cooper Show features West End star Daniel Taylor as Tommy Cooper, in the knockout performance of the year.

The show comes with a fabulous supporting cast, and all of your favourite jokes. Gareth Jones (formerly Gaz Top) stars as Miff Ferrie, along with Sharon Byatt as Gwen Cooper.

Between the story, the gags and the magic, and Daniel’s incredible portrayal of showbusiness legend Tommy Cooper, this promises to be a very special show.

Our Academy aims are to improve children’s Confidence, Communication skills and Creativity through a dynamic and fun curriculum, delivered over three terms. Our Summer Showcase is the culmination of the year’s work by the children within the Academy, and a chance for them all to shine.
