Entries are now open for the Michelmores Property Awards, which showcase and celebrate the very best of the South West's property and construction industry. Michelmores is calling upon property developers, building contractors, architects and other industry professionals to nominate buildings, projects and businesses from across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset for the annual awards, which are now in their 14th year.

Rydon Farm takes gold in Devon Tourism Awards

30 November 2015. Rydon Farm Bed and Breakfast in Woodbury, near Exeter, was delighted to receive a Gold Award at the Devon Tourism Awards held at The Holiday Inn, Plymouth on 26 November.

First time entrants to these prestigious awards, Rydon Farm picked up Gold in the ‘B&B, Guest Accommodation and Inn of the Year' category.

Exeter scoops award for solar car ports

An initiative to install the UK's first solar panel car ports in two Exeter car parks has won an environmental award for Exeter City Council.

The City Council scooped The Most Sustainable Public Sector Project - Innovation Award at the Public Sector Sustainability Awards in London.

The successful work of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity’s (RNRMC) dedicated fundraising team has resulted in a nomination for Best Fundraiser at the National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards 2015, which will be held on November 17th at the House of Lords in London.

The RNRMC has seen Payroll Giving donations increase an average of 8 per cent a year since 2010, helping it achieve its aim which is to support Serving Personnel, veterans and their families, for life. 2016 Devon Farm Business Awards launch

The 2016 Devon Farm Business Awards were launched on Monday 2 November, on the farm of Devon’s 2015 “Farmer of the Year”, John and Clare Clapp, at Hartnoll, near Tiverton.

Halifax recently launched the third Halifax Giving Extra Awards – an annual award which recognises and rewards people who give extra to help people in their community.

Devon Community Foundation hosted its annual Volunteer of the Year Awards sponsored by Quilter Cheviot, honouring the hard work and achievements of the many volunteers making a real difference in our Devon communities.
