Exeter Daily team launch new website dedicated to women's sport

A new website dedicated solely to women’s sport was launched today (Tuesday 14 July).

Women's Sport Daily will cover all female professional sport – from football, netball and cricket to tennis, golf and Olympic disciplines.

There will also be the chance to promote news about your school, club and local teams in a unique Community section, as well as exclusive interviews and columns from sporting stars and the people who influence how girls and women watch, play and enjoy the action.

CEDA and the South West Athletics Academy (SWAA) are running the fourth annual Disability Athletics Festival at Exeter Arena on Wednesday 15th May. The Disability Athletics Festival is aimed at disabled people and those with additional needs but is open to all to take part. Most events are adaptable for all abilities.

Exeter shoppers were delighted when double Olympic gold medallist, James Cracknell OBE, ran through Exeter’s City Centre to raise awareness of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) being a chosen charity of Exeter’s Great West Run.

Owner of Exeter’s Great West Run, James led a pack of runners and supporters of the charity through a small race through the City centre on Friday 30 June, before crossing an inflatable ‘Finish Line’ in Princesshay.

Indoor athletics winter fun in Exeter

This Saturday 30th January is the last of this seasons Sportshall sessions, hosted by the award winning South West Athletics Academy at the Riverside Leisure Centre.

Held between 10-11:30am this popular event is open to children between the ages of 4 and 14. Sportshall is a fantastic way for children to experience lots of different athletics activities under one roof.

Devon runner Jo Pavey is taking a stand against drugs cheats by agreeing to make her blood test results public.

Sportshall indoor athletics is back in Exeter

Sportshall, the popular and successful program of indoor athletics which teaches and improves children core sporting skills is back in Exeter.
