Award winning British broadcaster Angela Rippon CBE, who by her own admission refuses to grow old gracefully, is coming to Exeter.

Plymouth born Angela will be sharing her stories and answering questions for Age UK Exeter in An evening with Angela Rippon – ‘Around the world in 50 years’ at Bearnes Hampton and Littlewood Auctioneers in March.

Angela has an incredible broadcasting career of 50 years, at 31 she was the first British female news anchor. More recently, she has turned her attention to promoting wellness in later life through the highly acclaimed BBC One...

Stars come out for Waterloo concert

Nearly 800 supporters and guests packed into Exeter Cathedral on June 20th to enjoy an evening of music and readings to remember the Battle of Waterloo and honour the courage and service of British soldiers over the last 200 years.

Joining the Deputy Lord Lieutenant and Deputy Lord Mayor were Chelsea Pensioners, members of the Coldstream Guards and local favourites Caroline Quentin and Angela Rippon. The concert was held to raise funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the National Charity of the British Army.

Devon Wildlife Trust joins legacy campaign

Veteran journalist and newsreader, Angela Rippon, will be joining The Wildlife Trusts in support of this year’s Remember A Charity Week (Mon 9 – Sun 15 Sept 2013).

As one of 140 charities taking part in a series of events around the UK, The Wildlife Trusts are urging people making a Will to take a moment to consider including a gift to charity.

Devon Wildlife Trust is asking supporters to think about leaving a gift in their Will to help wildlife. The Trust’s Penny Mason said:
