Exeter Northcott Theatre has announced that acclaimed actor Robert Lindsay will perform in its 50th anniversary gala in November.

Robert is an Olivier-winning actor known for his acclaimed performances both on and off screen, including appearances with the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well his role as the hapless dentist Ben Harper in BBC’s My Family.

Bob Hoskins dies aged 71

The actor Bob Hoskins has died aged 71.

Hoskins had retired, from a 30-year career in acting in 2012 following a diagnosis of parkinson's disease in the later year's of his life.

His agent, Clair Dobbs, today announced that he had died of pneumonia in hospital last night (29 April) surrounded by family.

Hoskins rose to national acclaim following his appearence as London gangster-turned-businessman in The Long Good Friday (1980).
