Your opportunity to have your work in the children’s gallery on the RAMM website.

Produce your own picture inspired by one of RAMM’s paintings, drawings or prints currently on display.

10.30am-3.30pm.

All children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults can watch/supervise for free. Some activities are messy so do wear clothes that can get dirty. If an activity is busy there may be a short wait.

Family Activities at the priory: Butter Making

A chance to make butter Tudor style.

Please bring one large pot of real double or whipped cream which is at room temperature and wear clothes that can get messy. Places are limited. If the activity is busy there may be a short wait. Accompanying adults can watch and help.

Secret Mad Hatters Picnic

Can you follow the White Rabbit through the woods and solve the Mad Hatter's riddle with one of our special maps?

If you think you can, you should come to the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth and join in our Alice-in-Wonderland themed Mad Hatters tea party picnic!

There will be a prize for the maddest hat!! Purchase a map and picnic from the Hayloft Restaurant and have fun at our secret Wonderland location!

The £5 picnic includes a sandwich, cake, piece of fruit, drink and the special map. Entrance to the Donkey Sanctuary is free.

Exploring the Vertues of Herbes

Learn more about the power of plants in the year 1602 by helping our ‘herb women’ prepare natural remedies in the Tudor kitchen, using a variety of plants gathered from their own physick garden. Mistresses Eleanor and Christina are skilled in the knowledge and the use of herbs.

They will be preparing infusions, tisanes, poultices and healing salves for the benefit and wellbeing of the Hurst household.

Family Activity: Close Encounters

Look at wildlife close up with a digital microscope and magnifying glasses and draw the patterns revealed.

Bushcraft Week and Camp Wild Experience Day

Release the spirit of adventure in your children and let them discover and explore the natural world around them. This half term week children can take part in bushcraft skills - fire making, shelter building, campfire cooking, whittling, care and use of tools, arts and crafts including some really cool fire sculptures! and of course toasting marshmallows over the campfire!

10am-5pm every day. Members free. Escot entry fee applies to non-members. There may be a charge for some activities. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please wear old clothes!
