A week packed with different events to suit all ages. From scavenger hunts and children’s fun to fireworks and late night dances – you’re sure to find something at Beer Regatta. The focus is fun, the mood is happy; hopefully the weather is fine, but even if rainy, the welcome will always be warm.

Dawlish Carnival week is one of Devon's largest seaside carnivals, taking place over 7 days during August. Lots of free fun and entertainment for the whole family!
The Grand Carnival Procession will take place on Friday 15th August. The route runs for about 2½ miles through the town centre and the procession itself can reach up to over a mile in length - taking 1 - 1.5 hours to pass! The fun starts around 7.00pm.
There are many activities - many of them FREE to take part in - and events happening in and around Dawlish during Carnival week.
On Saturday 9 August a free event is being held in the Exeter Phoenix which explores the working lives of local people during World War One.
The event, called World of Work – Working Lives in Exeter 1914-18, is the idea of local trade unions. They have linked up with local history groups and community organisations to put on a day of talks, workshops, exhibitions and more which will give an insight into the impact the war had on people across Exeter and Devon.
