Exeter family law specialist, The Family Law Company recently presented a cheque for £1500 to FORCE Cancer Charity.

The sum was raised through various events, including a popular skittles evening that pitted teams of accountants, barristers and solicitors against each other, with Old Mill Accountants edging ahead to win on the night.

Journalist, author and political commentator Andrew Marr is supporting a nationwide search for stroke survivors to enter the Life After Stroke Awards (LASA) 2015.

Exeter golf course to be redesigned

Exeter Golf and Country Club has secured funding from Charles Church, part of the Persimmon Group, towards the redesign of its golf course. The deal comes after two years of negotiations between the Club and housebuilder over how to ensure the safety of residents of Great Woodcote Park, a new housing development being built next to the golf course. The Club had been advised by two separate specialist golf architects that the houses were sited too close to the boundary, increasing the risk of golf balls leaving the course and causing injury or damage. Chiefs make last eight after powerful display

A powerful second half display saw Exeter Chiefs book their place in the last eight of this season’s European Challenge Cup with victory away to Connacht.

Having trailed 17-10 at the break, Rob Baxter’s side scored 23 unanswered points after the break to secure their fourth win in this season’s competition.

The shortlist for the Food Reader Awards 2015 has been announced and Exeter is harbouring a wealth of foodie finalists.

Need funding for your community project?

With 26 Parish and Town Council projects funded in 2013-2014, the Parishes Together Fund is looking to allocate more money to local community initiatives.

For the third year running, East Devon District Council (EDDC) and Devon County Council (DCC) are inviting Town and Parish Councils to apply to their joint initiative – the Parishes Together Fund – for grants towards projects that will solve local community issues.

EDDC and DCC are again putting £1.10 per elector into the scheme. Each Town or Parish Council can then apply for up to £1.10 for every person in their parish...

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service are encouraging you to ‘Register my appliance’ so your home is safer.

Did you know that only 36% of consumers register all of their large domestic appliances? This leaves thousands off the radar if a recall is required.

New research reveals just over a third of British purchasers currently register all of their appliances with the manufacturer, leaving many thousands of owners virtually untraceable if a safety repair is required.
