Leading chartered accountants, Francis Clark, has announced the launch of a comprehensive client cloud accounting package becoming the first accountancy practice in the South West to offer a choice of three top quality software systems.

Cloud accounting enables businesses to access financial data instantly via desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile phone device anywhere with Wi-Fi connectivity.

A30 closed westbound after accident

The A30 was closed westbound and there were major delays between Daisy Mount Cross in West Hill and the B3184 junction in Clyst Honiton following a serious accident.

The accident involved a car and an ariculated lorry at around 7am.

A police spokesman said the driver of the car had been air lifted to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Classical crossover, comedy and more!

Exeter Corn Exchange has announced details of its events programme for the autumn period. The City Council run venue will host a mix of comedy, music and specialist events with highlights including comedians Sean Lock, Josh Widdicombe and Jethro, and singers Russell Watson, Eddie Reader and Donovan. There will also be appearances by Steve Backshall and the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain as well as Ballet and Burlesque.

Hole In The Wall back in business

Just over 12 months after it burned to the ground, Exeter’s Hole In The Wall pub has risen from the ashes.

Owners George Sloan and Rob Skinner have invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in restoring the venue to its former glory.

And that is on top of the tens of thousands they spent refurbishing the pub when they originally bought it two years ago.

However, after “an enormous slog” the venue is once again open for business and bigger and better than before.

Exeter Business Improvement District Company (BID) is holding a ‘Meet the Board’ event on the 22nd September at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
