voco Zeal Exeter Science Park achieves BREEAM Outstanding rating

Zeal Hotels has achieved the BREEAM Outstanding rating at the design stage for its voco Zeal Hotel, located at Exeter Science Park.

The 142-bedroom hotel is currently on schedule in week 26 of a 75-week construction programme.

Record £6.4 million awarded for further year of skills training in Devon

A successful skills training programme led by Devon County Council has received its largest funding award from the Department for Education to further boost employment opportunities across the county.

Train4Tomorrow is being delivered in partnership with Cornwall Council and is receiving £6.4million in 2024/2025, a significant increase on previous years which will enable more than 2,000 adults in Devon and Cornwall to access Skills Bootcamps in a variety of dynamic sectors.

Cranbrook Education Campus , part of the Ted Wragg Trust family, welcomed local artist Brenda Thomas into the school this month, marking the first artistic contribution to the school's gallery initiative in 2024. The initiative, started in February 2023, aims to bring the world of art closer to the Cranbrook community.

Resurfacing will be carried out next month on the A379 through Exminster.

The four-week scheme is planned to be undertaken in two phases.

Work between the A379 Sannerville Way junction and Reddaway Drive by Exminster Garage will start on Monday 5 February and will continue until Friday 16 February. Access from the Swan’s Nest roundabout into Exminster from the South will be maintained during this phase, and the road will be fully open over the weekend of Saturday 10 February and Sunday 11 February.
