Lympstone residents who park their vehicles at Underhill Car Park are being warned that essential works to a nearby pedestrian footbridge next month will mean fewer parking spaces for up to 12 weeks.
Contractors on behalf of the Environment Agency will start work to replace the footbridge across the Watton Brook at the car park on Monday January 11. The bridge is in a poor condition and is being replaced with a new one.
One of the contractor’s first tasks will be to create a temporary bridge to maintain pedestrian access throughout the works.

Liam Sercombe, the former St James Park favourite, started for the hosts after having got ten goals for the U's already this season since switching Exeter for Oxford in the summer.
The match was just moments old when Jamie Reid pounced on a loose ball, taking a touch before his...
