Students and staff at St James School in Exeter, part of the Ted Wragg Trust family, are celebrating after being rated Good by Ofsted.

The Ofsted report notes that the school motto of ‘work hard, be kind’ is lived by the pupils and staff at St James School and that it is an inclusive school built on warm, respectful relationships. Maximus Foundation UK, the not-for-profit arm of Maximus, has awarded a grant of £2,500 to Rock 2 Recovery to help fund free mental health support for veterans and their families.

Countywide freeze sees gritters called into action

Devon’s gritter drivers are carrying out multiple treatments on the county’s main routes as freezing conditions are set to continue.

Teams are already out on roads in East and Mid Devon, while the majority of gritters will be heading out on Devon’s precautionary salting routes from 5pm onwards and again at 2am. The busiest cycle routes in Exeter will also be treated from 7pm tonight.
