Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary near Tiverton.
A property in Withleigh was broken into between 2-5pm on Tuesday the 27th December.
A number of distinctive 22-carat items of jewellery were stolen including bangles, necklaces and rings, as well as the Kashmir style wooden box that they were being stored in.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and noted anything suspicious, or who has been offered any of these items for sale.

The Tesco Extra Exeter Vale store has donated festive food for this year’s Exeter Blue Light Christmas Carol Service. Led by the South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust, the service took place at Exeter Cathedral on Monday 19th December and saw the South West emergency services, along with friends and family, come together to recognise the exceptional work they do. Police were called at 2.45pm on Wednesday 21 December following reports of a man shoplifting in a Morrison’s store on Prince Charles Road in Exeter.
Two men, both wearing identical clothing, entered the store at around the same time. Whilst in the store, the two men went in different directions. One of the men proceeded to fill up a green carrier bag with items and then left the store without payment.
This same man was followed out of the store and by a member of staff and was challenged in the carpark where he produced a knife, before running off.
