Outstanding police officers who work across Devon and Cornwall were given special awards last week.

PC George House, based in Exeter city centre, was Highly Commended in the Neighbourhood Beat Manager of the Year category. The officers received certificates to mark their achievements.

The first annual Excellence in Policing Awards ceremony took place at Sandy Park conference centre in Exeter on Friday 14 June. The event was organised by the Museum of Policing in Devon and Cornwall and a total of 22 awards were handed out.
