Taylor Wimpey backs Exeter Food Action with charitable donation
Taylor Wimpey Exeter is proud to be supporting Exeter Food Action with a £200 monetary donation.
Award-winning charity Exeter Food Action works with wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers to ‘rescue’ good, nutritious surplus food that would otherwise go to waste.
The charity redistributes this food to community organisations, including soup kitchens, hostels, food banks, community cafés, schools, hospices and other local groups helping those who need it most, including people affected by homelessness, family breakdown and low incomes.
The rescued food can find its way to a wide range of community organisations, including soup kitchens, hostels, food banks, community cafés, schools, hospices and other local groups, helping ensure nutritious food reaches the people and places where it is needed most.
Wendy Kearns, Manager at Exeter Food Action said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this generous donation. Support like this enables us to continue our mission of redistributing food to the people and places that need it most. This funding will help us continue making a positive and lasting impact in our community.”
Emma Smith, Sales Director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter added: “Supporting local communities is at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to support the fantastic work of Exeter Food Action. We hope this donation will help them continue making a meaningful difference to the people and communities they support.”
