Exeter Chiefs Women launch first-ever Exposed charity calendar to celebrate body positivity
Exeter Chiefs Women have launched their first-ever Exposed calendar as a bold and empowering project to celebrate the strength, confidence and positivity of female athletes and to raise money for two important causes.
The calendar, available from 11 December 2025, has been driven by the players, who wanted to mirror the success of the long-running men’s Exposed calendar while championing their own message of body positivity. It is the first of its kind in the PWR.
Following a landmark year for women’s rugby and women’s sport, the Chiefs Women’s Exposed calendar shines a light on the incredible athletes who are inspiring the next generation both on and off the field.
Players that feature in the calendar include Chiefs’ Women’s vice-captains Maisy Allen and Flo Robinson, Canada’s skipper Alex Tessier, Italy’s Francesca Granzotto, locally grown players Abby Middlebrooke and Lucy Nye, plus Red Rose and Rugby World Cup champion, Claudia Moloney-MacDonald.
Moloney-MacDonald said: “We’re really excited about the first ever Chiefs Women’s naked calendar. It’s a great opportunity for us to celebrate strong women, looking and feeling confident in their bodies. But we also had a lot of fun creating it, which I think shines through in the pictures. And what better causes than the Exeter Chiefs Foundation and Breast Cancer Now.”
Proceeds from the calendar will be split between the PWR’s partner charity Breast Cancer Now and the club’s community fundraising organisation, the Exeter Chiefs Foundation.
Genevieve Shore, executive chair of PWR, said: “We are very excited to see the PWR partnership with Breast Cancer Now expand in ways we never could have predicted.
“I’m thrilled that Exeter Chiefs and their squad of incredible athletes have come together to support such an important cause. That the athletes have led the way, with their own sense of humour and fun, says a lot about their character and the team spirit being fostered at Sandy Park. It bodes well for the rest of their season!”
Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s leading research and support charity, who are here for everyone affected by breast cancer. Their vision is that by 2050 everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live and live well.
To make this a reality, they fund lifesaving research, campaign for change and provide information and life-changing support to anyone affected by the disease. Through their Touch Look Check campaign, they encourage everyone to regularly check their breasts to get to know their normal and check anything new or unusual with a GP - because the sooner breast cancer is picked up, the more likely treatment is to be effective.
Claire Pulford, associate director of relationship fundraising and events at Breast Cancer Now, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Exeter Chiefs Women’s team for supporting Breast Cancer Now through their first-ever Women’s Exposed calendar. A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every nine minutes in the UK and a man every day. If nothing is done to change this, by 2040, a woman will be diagnosed every eight minutes. As such, this support has never been more important.
“It’s inspiring to see these exceptional athletes celebrate body positivity and women’s empowerment with such confidence, strength and authenticity. Their support will help us continue funding lifesaving research and providing life-changing support for everyone affected by breast cancer. We can’t thank the players enough for using their platform to champion a cause that touches so many lives.”
Funds generated by the calendar will also go towards the club’s charity, the Exeter Chiefs Foundation which has distributed more than £3 million to charities in the greater Exeter area to help projects that have included building and renovation works, the installation of play equipment and IT suites, a range of vehicles, community kitchen hubs, specialised access equipment and more.
Charities and community groups can apply for funds, either as one of the club’s match-day charities, or to receive a one-off donation through the grant programme.
The Exeter Chiefs Women’s Exposed calendar will be available to purchase from 11 December 2025 at the Exeter Chiefs shop and online.
For each item sold, £5.10 will be given to Breast Cancer Now a charity registered in England and Wales (No. 1160558), Scotland (SC045584) and Isle of Man (No. 1200).
