Christmas at the Movies Comes to Exeter Cathedral as London Concertante Releases New Album
London Concertante brings its enchanting Christmas Movies by Candlelight tour to Exeter Cathedral on 19 December 2025, transforming one of the South West’s most iconic landmarks into a festive, cinematic experience illuminated by candlelight.
Audiences will be treated to sweeping arrangements from some of the most beloved Christmas films of all time — including Home Alone, Love Actually, Elf, The Polar Express, White Christmas, A Christmas Carol, The Holiday, The Snowman, It’s a Wonderful Life and more.
Every arrangement has been crafted exclusively for London Concertante’s world-class ensemble.
The new studio album Christmas at the Movies is released on 8 December 2025, allowing audiences to take home the warmth and nostalgia of the live show.

Following the enduring success of their nationwide Christmas tour — which has travelled over 100,000 miles and performed to more than half a million people — the album captures the cinematic glow and festive spirit that have made these concerts a seasonal favourite.
Chris Grist, Executive Producer and Artistic Director of London Concertante, says: “There is something truly magical about performing this programme in a cathedral as extraordinary as Exeter. The candlelight, the acoustics and the nostalgic film music combine to create a deeply atmospheric and uplifting evening.
"Our audiences tell us how much this concert marks the beginning of Christmas for them. With this album, we wanted to bottle that feeling so it can be enjoyed again and again throughout the season.”
