Region Security Guarding Nominated for Three Categories at the 2025 Security & Fire Excellence Awards
Region Security Guarding has been shortlisted for three major categories at this year’s Security & Fire Excellence Awards, which celebrate innovation, dedication, and outstanding performance across the UK’s security and fire industries. The company has been named a finalist for Security Guarding Company of the Year (under £35m turnover), Security & Fire Best Customer Service Provider, and Security & Fire Diversity and Inclusion Champion.
The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, 1 December 2025, at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, one of the most prestigious events in the industry calendar. These nominations mark an exciting moment in Region Security Guarding’s journey. Founded with a clear mission to raise standards within the industry, the company has built a reputation for dependable service, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to its people.
Over the past year, Region Security Guarding has continued to grow across the UK, investing heavily in staff development, new technology, and customer experience to ensure every client receives the highest standard of service. The shortlist for Security Guarding Company of the Year recognises the company’s consistent performance across sectors such as retail, logistics, construction, and corporate security. The Customer Service nomination highlights the Region’s people-first approach, with a focus on transparency, responsiveness, and long-term relationships rather than quick wins.
Perhaps most significantly, the nomination for Diversity and Inclusion Champion celebrates the company’s belief that a strong, inclusive culture is central to its success. Around 80% of Region Security Guarding’s workforce comes from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, and the company has taken active steps to make equality and inclusion a lived reality, not just a policy. Through its Region One Strategy, the business has embedded a set of commitments across four pillars: operational excellence, corporate social responsibility, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health, safety, and wellbeing.
As part of this, Region Security Guarding has introduced a range of initiatives, including an employee assistance programme, flexible working, mental health training, and community volunteering. The company regularly supports charities and encourages staff to get involved in local causes as part of its wider wellbeing and engagement programme.
Managing Director Zachariah Islam said:
Being recognised in three categories at such a respected industry event is a real honour. It’s a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our entire team, from our office staff to our guards on the ground. We’ve always believed that our people are the DNA of our company, and these nominations show the strength of that ethos. Our focus has always been on doing things the right way – treating people fairly, delivering consistently high standards, and giving back to the communities we serve.
Region Security Guarding will join other leading organisations from across the UK at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in December, as the industry comes together to celebrate excellence, innovation, and the people driving positive change.
