Residents at local care home receive a visit from a therapy pony
Cumberland Grange care home, in Exeter was full of excitement on Monday when a friendly therapy pony came to visit the home.
Residents at Cumberland Grange were pleasantly surprised to see Peppa the miniature pony walk through the home and pay visits to individual residents, offering up lots of opportunities for fussing.
General Manager Beth said: “Our residents have really enjoyed their surprise visitor. They were not expecting a pony, so it was wonderful to see their faces light up with joy when Peppa walked through our doors. We are always looking for new activities for the residents and today we have seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence animals can have on people.”
Resident Alison was very excited by miniature pony Peppa and said: “This has really made my day, please do come again.”
