Mr Woodnote
Saxophones, loopstations, beatboxing and sometimes flutes…. Mr Woodnote is Australian sax player Mikey Melican and guests who concoct a potent mix of jazz-infused hip hop and dub heavy basslines.

The semi-conscious MC hails from UKs soundest and most musically vibing cities, Bristol. He started writing and hooked up with MC Idle (Theo Weywood) and, a little while later, Pete Hogg & DJ Drake, forming Bonobo Hobos. All on the same tip about music, lyrics and life Rhys used this as the catalyst i which to develop his own style. A few years ago he met Mr.Woodnote buying vegetables at the greengrocers. ‘It kicked off the heaviest and most exciting collaboration I’ve been involved in.’ After supporting Dub FX & the Flower Fairy on there European tour, Woodnote and Rhys have been recording vocals for there first album as a duo, entitled ‘Modus Operandi’ – dropping in 2011.
Eva Lazarus
Eva Lazarus is the front woman for Bristol grown bass music band Dub Mafia, but outside of creating a world wide noise with the 6 piece crew of dance heavy weights she amassed a sea of collaborations to include, Mr Woodnote, Snareophobe, Urban knights, Audible one, Lion Fire, Mr Benn and the list could go on!
With plays on BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra and support from the UK, Europe and beyond its is obvious to see why this unsigned artist is one to watch.
