Exeter City’s midfielder Kyle Taylor may be fit to start training with the Grecians when the preseason starts. The 24-year-old will be making a comeback to the team after a year of injury pain after rupturing his knee ligament in March 2022. Taylor got an injury on his cruciate knee ligament during Exeter City’s win at Oldham Athletic, a match where he scored his only goal with the team.

Kyle Taylor has spent the last 14 months recovering from his knee injury and he has suffered multiple setbacks in getting fit after damaging his knee cartilage on both sides. He also damaged his bone and medial ligament. Most fans originally hoped that Taylor would feature at some point last season, but his slow recovery dashed everyone’s hopes.

Exeter City will be making their pre-season return on 23rd June and Taylor has been seen on the grass doing some runs at the training grounds this week. As such, Exeter’s manager Gary Caldwell is hoping that the former Bournemouth player will take part in some of the sessions after the return of the Grecians. Fortunately, sports punters can use the Bet365 bonus code to wager on the football action.

According to Exeter City coach Caldwell, Kyle Taylor will feel like a new signing in the team because it’s been a long time since he played on the field. The 24-year-old has also had so many setbacks in his recovery journey, even with Caldwell’s assistance. However, Kyle received some good news last week and he hopes to be running on the first day of the team’s pre-season.

Obviously, the midfielder will need to take things slowly due to the nature of his knee injury, but his manager hopes he is ready to contribute significantly to the team next season. Taylor joined Exeter City for an undisclosed price from the Cherries during the summer of 2021, playing for the team 18 times before suffering from his injury and scoring only once.

There’s also good news on fellow teammate Cheick Diabate, who has also been absent on an injury break for a long time. The center-back has not played any game since early February when he broke his leg bone. Unfortunately for him, that was the second time he broke the same bone in a single season, which ultimately ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. However, the 21-year-old defender is fit and ready to come back on the pitch.
