Not just another charity cycle ride…

This one is different.

It’ll be tough.
It’ll be long.
It’ll be hot.

Between the 12th and 23rd November 2016 Kate Rothwell, Nicky Dunn, Jessica Burrage and Jacqueline Gentile will put on their cycle helmets, slide into the lycra and hit the trail in Vietnam, the ‘Land of the Ascending Dragon’. They will cycle over 450km to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the ’Kingdom of Wonder’. Cycling in temperatures of around 30 degrees, they will cross the Mekong River, pass ancient temples and rice fields in lush South East Asian countryside. It will be a tough journey but also one that will be filled with wonder, fun and friendship.

And don’t forget! None of the girls are cyclists.

They will be riding as part of the Women V Cancer cycle challenge organised by Action for Charity as they cycle – up to 110 km on some days – from Hi Chi Minh City to Angkor Wat. The point? To raise as much money as they can for Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.

Why your support goes to the right place

All sponsorship money raised by Kate, Nicky, Jess and Jax will go directly to the charities. This is because they will be paying for the cost of the trip themselves. So your support really is about raising money for charity, not raising money to pay for air fares, accommodation and hotels.

How Hot Wheels raises funds

We’re putting the fun back into fundraising, with a magical Midsummer Masked Charity Ball on Saturday 25th June 2016 at Sandy Park.

The event will include a Charity Auction hosted by Exeter Chiefs forward Chris Bentley and the very gorgeous and glamorous Judi Spiers. The evening will begin with a champagne reception at 7.30 pm. Tickets include a three course dinner, music from Evolver and a DJ set.
