Making your own luck!

In today's world, a bit of luck doesn't go amiss, with many of us constantly looking out for new ways for things to get better. There's always seemingly a reason why things go wrong, but when they're right we assume things are just down to chance. We should have a little more faith, and be proactive in creating a lucky path for ourselves to go down.

Play to Win

As with many things, you've got to be 'in it to win it' as they say. It's no use jealously wondering how other people got so lucky if you're personally never even giving their methods a try. Take the lottery, for example. You've no chance of getting anything out of that if you don't even buy a ticket. Plus, it's not just about waiting for good things to happen. You can in some ways influence winning the jackpot and making it big! Methods include not picking birthdays (everyone does it apparently so you'd have to share if you won with those numbers), and plenty of other tricks like choosing lotteries with better odds. See? Maybe the lucky ones have a secret after all! It has to be someone, so why not you?!

Being More Positive

There's almost a placebo effect in place when it comes to luck. If you consistently believe that bad things happen to you, you may well jinx it. Of course nobody really brings poor circumstances on themselves on purpose, but if you adopt a much more sunny attitude, you'll have the confidence to get out there and make good things happen for yourself. The more you trust that you deserve things, subconsciously the more you'll put yourself forward for. And others will notice too!

Don't Ignore Good Luck Charms

You might feel silly doing it, but remember how your mum always told you that if you "see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck"? What is the harm in giving it a go? Whether you wear a lucky dress, carry a lucky penny or even a picture or something personal from a good time around with you, how you choose to change your life is totally up to you. That's the beauty of it. And if we've learned anything from the placebo effect, sometimes just *thinking* things are less likely to go wrong is enough to ensure that they really don't!
