Grab those goggles and go for it! Sign up now for Exeter Hospiscare’s Swimathon coming to the city next month.

Devon and Cornwall Police has offered its pool at Middlemoor HQ as the venue for this exciting new event.

There are six lanes and each team has 55 minutes to swim as far as it can in its dedicated lane – so it’s not a race and you can go as fast or as slow as you like.

“This is a great chance to have fun as a team, swimming in a great pool,” said Paula Lawford, of Exeter Friends of Hospiscare who is organising the event.

“We’ve already got several teams signed up and we’d love more people to join in the fun. We know some teams will go all out to swim as many lengths as possible while others will be more relaxed, take their time and enjoy the atmosphere.”

The Swimathon takes place on Saturday 19 March between 9am and 2pm.
