Local people are being invited to a garden party at Axminster Community Hospital on Saturday 2 August.

The event, from 2pm to 4pm, will raise money for the Conybeare and Willow centres for older people with dementia and other memory problems.

The party will include cream teas, indoor and outdoor games, handmade cards, jams and cakes, a live pianist, a raffle and much more. Entry is free.

The Conybeare and Willow centres, based at the hospital, are managed by the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust.

The Conybeare centre offers a 12-week assessment and ongoing support and advice to help people and their carers through their dementia journey.

The Willow day centre can also accommodate people who are socially isolated, for up to three days a week.
